Choose an object of interest to you such as one of the famous Messier Objects, or any of many other fascinating night sky fuzzies out there as a subject.  Use a variety of methods to take longer exposures of the object to capture more detail. Then enhance that detail even more with a variety of calibration and processing methods on the computer.

The result are pictures worth being framed and hung on your wall at home!   To get the same results with conventional film would require a bigger telescope and hours of pain staking effort!

Color pictures can be taken by combining three pictures, taken with a red filter, a green filter and a blue filter.  These kinds of pictures take a bit more effort to make, but become addictive after seeing one!
